The staff were inconsiderate and rude to me. Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway Bangor (previously Hollywood Slots and Bangor Raceway) is a casino and harness racing track in Bangor, Maine. When I left I had no confidence this would get fixed. I was not believed and they made an error. I did get an email and credit the next day. She said I could leave and if the charge was not mine they would credit me. I said I thought this was poor customer service, that I don’t lie about such things, have had a choice account for many years and they were not taking my word for a $7 charge. I asked how long this would take and she said something to the affect that it would take however long it took. I asked to speak to the manager and learned that the woman working there was the manager. They ignored me and continued with their work. I said I was getting irritated, did not make the charge and wanted it removed from my bill. After about 10 minutes I asked how much longer and still got no answer. I asked how long that would take and they could give me no answer. When I complained I was told by the front desk they had to call the bar so they could review all the charge slips. I did not use the bar and made no charge for anything else. When I checked out there was a charge from the bar for $7.

We have been traveling for almoat two weeks and had exceptional stays and value for our money at a variety of price ranges.

The room was great but the overall experience was certainly not worth the money. We ate at the buffet that had limited choices, many things that were empty waiting to be refilled and some were cold or tasteless. I asked how we enter the garage and was told we had to leave the garage, go around the building and enter on the other side. We had to back up through the garage to the hotel doors again to return to the front desk.

From the 'waiting space' we tried to enter the garage but it required a player's card. I asked about parking and was told we could park anywhere in the lot. The other staff member checking a guest in was providing detailed information about their room, charges, etc. The front desk staff member we had could not have been less interested in my visit. We were disappointed from the moment we arrived. I booked this for a cross country trip so we had some entertainment on one of our stops.
